Human Pathology is the study of disease. The courses are designed to provide students with an understanding of the consequences of pathologic processes on the structure and function of the human body. Human Pathology 4 will introduce students to diseases related to the neurological system including infections, trauma, and specific disorders. Students will also be introduced to common diseases of the eyes and those diseases related to the ears, nose, and throat system. Common conditions of the skin and an overview of disorders relating to nutrition as well as childhood disorders will be covered in this course. Each body system will be introduced with a brief revision of the relevant anatomy and physiology. Pre-requisites: Anatomy and Physiology 3-Nervous System, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat System, Integumentary System, Nutrition and Health , and Pharmacology.
