Pathology is the study of disease. This course will introduce students to the molecular and cellular basis of disease and how these present in different body systems. They will learn about patient samples and laboratory tests that can be used in patient diagnosis and monitoring. This includes analysis and interpretation of laboratory test results. Using case studies, students will incorporate their existing knowledge and critical thinking skills in learning how interpret, identify, and report patient findings, diagnosis, and prognosis.
